IN THIS CASE, THE WARRANTY PERIOD IS STATED WITH THE PRODUCT ADVERTISEMENT (As some items have a longer warranty cover from the manufacturer than others). ANY WARRANTY PROVIDED IS BETWEEN THE ORIGINAL PURCHASER AND OURSELVES AND IS NON-TRANSFERABLE
PRODUCTS THAT CAN BE CLASSED AS CONSUMABLE GOODS ARE NOT EXPRESSLY GIVEN A WARRANTY (IE INCANDESCENT BULBS OR OTHER ITEMS THAT DETERIORATE OVER OPERATION)
ANY WARRANTED PRODUCT IS SOLD ON THE BASIS OF "RETURN TO BASE" OR "RTB" REPLACEMENT, THIS IS A STANDARD WITH THE MAIL ORDER OR INTERNET BUSINESS MODEL.
WE ALWAYS REQUIRE THE "FAULTY OR FAILED" ITEM TO BE RETURNED TO US AT THE CUSTOMERS COST, FOR INSPECTION AND CONFIRMATION OF DESCRIBED FAULT, PRIOR TO A REPLACEMENT BEING SENT TO A CUSTOMER AT OUR COST.
IN DISCRETIONARY CIRCUMSTANCES WE MAY CHOSE TO SEND OUT WARRANTY REPLACEMENT PARTS OR COMPONENTS FOR TESTING OR CONFIRMATION OF FAULT, (ie swapping like for like) WITHOUT FIRST HAVING THE FAULTY ITEM RETURNED.
THIS IS AT OUR DISCRETION ONLY, AND THIS FORMS A SECONDARY CONTRACT WITH THE CUSTOMER, AS STATED
If we do agree to send a replacement item to a customer prior to receipt of any allegedly faulty goods, then the customer has entered into a legal contract on receipt of the replacement "test" goods, and have therefore legally undertaken to return the “faulty or failed” goods to us, by receipt of this SAME INFORMATION recorded in the paperwork supplied with the replacement. We would expect the goods to be sent by a traceable postal method and to arrive in our premises within 10 working days from anywhere in the World (as all traceable postal companies guarantee under 10 days).
Should a customer not provide traceable postage information and we do not receive the “faulty or failed” good returned to us, and failing to secure further evidence of proof, a report may be made to the Police for their own investigation into a matter of fraud, and we will then pass the case to our solicitors for them to pursue a legal recourse through the courts if there is a significant financial loss to our company.
ANY USED OR "RECONDITIONED" PRODUCTS ARE NOT NORMALLY SUBJECT TO ANY WARRANTY AND ARE AS SUCH "SOLD AS DESCRIBED", AS SUCH THESE ITEMS ARE NOT COVERED BY DISTANCE SELLING REGULATIONS, PLEASE READ THESE ADVERTISED ITEMS DESCRIPTIONS CAREFULLY, AS WE ALWAYS DESCRIBE ANY FAULTS OR ISSUES. WE OFFER IN MOST CASES A 7 DAY RETURN POLICY FOR USED GOODS, RETURN POSTAGE AND SENT POSTAGE IS NOT REFUNDED.
